My life was not always this great!

Up until November 2008 it had seemed to be one very long struggle. In fact, I was very miserable and unhappy with my life in general. I was working a gruelling 80 or 90 hour week clearing blocked drains for companies such as Dyno- Rod and a few others. It was a smelly and dirty job. I was struggling to make enough money to live on and because of my work situation I had no social life to speak of. I had absolutely no time freedom or control over my life whatsoever.

I had been doing this job for approximately 10 years and had allowed myself to become trapped, controlled and manipulated by other people into doing exactly what they wanted me to do. I had always been used to doing what other people had told me right from when I first started work at the age of 16 years old. I had always been involved in the tough construction industry and was used to being treated this way. The problem was that I didn`t want to live like that anymore. I couldn`t carry on like this. I absolutely hated my life and the direction it was heading in.

I was angry with myself for allowing this to happen to me!

I knew that things had to change, and they had to change very quickly. I was fed up to the back teeth with my situation and I developed a strong, burning desire to turn my fortunes around. I knew in my heart that there was a much better life out there and it was just waiting for me to decide that I wanted to have it. Also, even after all of those years of external control and manipulation, I believed 100% that I deserved to have all of the good things in life that I truly desired. Without that self-belief I think I would have gone under. I would have sunk without a trace!

I realised the importance of self-belief and self-confidence!

I just had to find a way to change my life, but how could I do that? Well, surprisingly enough, it was not actually that difficult. I learned new skills and technology. I taught myself how to become more positive, outgoing and confident. I read lots of positive thinking books and listened to CDs. I developed a “winning mentality”. I spent lots and lots of hours searching on the internet for business opportunities. Yes okay, I got burned a couple of times by scams but that was mainly my fault for being too eager to find something. I wanted it that badly but I just needed to be a bit more careful.

So what exactly was I searching for?

Also I wanted my time back for myself so I wanted a business that didn`t mean working lots of really long days and nights.
